The MCC is elected on an annual basis and it consists of 7 committee members. The MCC undertakes the following roles :-

1. Facilitates the organisation of an annual consultation among all MENGOs, as well as

2. Acts as a local advisory on environmental issues to DANIDA.

3. Promotes partnership between the Government of Malaysia and MENGOs.

4. Represents MENGOs at the Project Steering Committee of the DANIDA-EPU Country Programme.

5. Oversees the running of the MENGO Support Unit.
