Draft KL Structure Plan

KUALA LUMPUR, May 12 (Bernama) -- The draft of the Kuala Lumpur Structure Plan 2020 which seeks to further develop the capital will be exhibited for six weeks beginning Thursday for public scrutiny, said Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Zulhasnan Rafique.

He said the plan can be viewed at several places here where the public can give their comments in writing to its secretariat or through its website at http://klcityplan2020.dbkl.gov.my/.

"Several discussion sessions will be held after the exhibition is over and those who air their views are invited to attend them," he told reporters after launching the KL Wireless Metropolitan here today.

He said the draft structure plan which involved proposals to guide the development of an area covering 243 square km in Kuala Lumpur until 2020 would be gazetted after the discussion sessions.

Zulhasnan said among the locations earmarked for further development are Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Berjaya Times Square, TTDI Community Centre (library), KL Sentral station and Mid Valley City.
