Objectives

  • Undertake community education, participatory research, training and campaign programmes on Indigenous Peoples rights, environment, development and policy matters which directly affect Indigenous peoples.
     

  • Support indigenous communities in their efforts to assert, defend and secure full recognition of their rights to customary lands and forests as well as to help them manage their resources within the framework of sustainable development.
     

  • Develop information materials on indigenous peoples’ situation, national policies and development planning.
     

  • Strengthen cooperation and solidarity among indigenous communities, Indigenous Peoples Organisations (IPOs) and NGOs in Sarawak, and collaborate with other likeminded organisations at national, regional and international level.
