The project promotes indigenous communities’ initiatives on preservation and management of natural resource and biodiversity as well as to develop sustainable livelihood alternatives and activities to sustain the conservation of biodiversity and forest within their areas.

The project enhance the community-based natural resource management in various conservation activities which include :-

• River conservation or “Melong Sungai” in Kenyah-Badeng, a traditional practice of protecting and preserving the rivers resources.

• Forest and biodiversity conservation through enrichment planting and gap-filling activities within the preserved community forest, the pulau and water catchment areas.

• Conservation of traditional medicine and herbal pants
